{"id":22,"date":"2023-08-28T10:32:31","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T10:32:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sctnhs.org\/wp_sc\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2023-08-28T16:54:36","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T21:54:36","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sctnhs.org\/wp_sc\/index.php\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sumner County Historical Society<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sumner County Historical Society\u2019s organization was prompted in 1975 by the forth coming Bicentennial of our nation\u2019s birth the following year.<br>It was felt that an umbrella society for the county was needed as a clearing house to handle all the upcoming state wide requests and events.<br>The organizational meeting was held at the Edward Ward Carmack Library in Gallatin, Tennessee.
